Even though it would appear that a travel agent would charge a lot of money, an agent may actually save you money by telling you about the best deals. Sometimes a cheap vacation is not necessarily the best one. Who wants to book a cheap motel only to find it is infested with bugs and is dirty when they arrive? A travel agent is familiar with the hotels they book. You could end up paying more with a travel agent, but you may have a better vacation with fewer problems.
